Quick GPS Question

Is there ANY GPS software that does not display the 3-4 second offset lag while travelling?
I've tried quite a few and they all seem to display my position 3-4 seconds behind my actual current position. I'm sick of missing turns!!!

What about the Telenav that came installed? Anyone tried that one?

Thanks!!!

Re: Quick GPS Question

unfortunately they all suffer from the same lag...i have tried basically every known brand and all have the same results...the gps chip is garbage and as useless as well...you know how the rest goes.

Re: Quick GPS Question

Have you tried Bing?I like it for a free app.It gives you beeps before turns. It doesn't talk though. Seems to work well on my Vogue.

Re: Quick GPS Question

Try disabling AGPS...

The funny thing is that assisted helps you find sats quicker but it also lags the real time GPS data!

If you can disable AGPS your location will be much more accurate!
There is an AGPS config app that was included in Caulkin's Kitchen. I'm sure there must be a cab for it as well...
Search for it and try turning AGPS off and see if that helps!

Nothing there. Do you know another place to find the steps you took?

Re: Quick GPS Question

dont know if these steps only work for gsm TP or not. I tried on my Sprint TP and the reported location still lag behind the actual location by 3-5 sec or a few hundred ft. extremely annoying.

btw, can anyone chk and see if their TP seems to intermittenly lose the gps signal lock completely every so often for half a sec. Mine would completely lose the gps signal lock for about half sec intermittently probably every 30 sec or so. it would then get a good lock again like nothing happened and repeat again soon. very annoying.

gps chip in TP is a total piece of sh** compared to the Titan which i still have. i still use the titan every now and then to remind myself how good an older device is.
