LUA Script Experts, Anyone

I'm trying to come up with a fix for the HD Text interface that is on many ROMs including EngeryROM, I have figured out what has to be done, just haven't figure out how to do it...

Does anyone know how to call up a manila using LUA script? Basically what I want it to do is activate the reply area on the HD Text format by default, so then we won't have to click on the messaging box to start to type a reply to a text...

Any help and direction would be apperciated!
