Touch Pro Newbie

Ok real newbie here. I have flashed my touch pro to the HSPL 037. Being the newbie that I am, what did this do besides make everything run smoother and faster? I also have a problem, cannot sync to PC anymore. Sync Center on Vista shows my phone, but when I hook it up to PC & view it in My Computer the phone appears to be like a drive or storage. How do I setup a new partnership now that I flashed to HSPL 037?

HSPL 037 unlocks your phone so that it can run custom roms, doesnt improve performance... For the syncing issue, go to settings>connections>usb to pc and make sure that you have it set to active sync or that the box that says to ask everytime a connection is established is checked.

Welcome to PPCGeeks, here's my answers to your questions:

1) HardSPL enables you to flash custom ROMs

2) Start - Settings - Connections - USB to PC - Select activesync (uncheck 'enable advanced network functionality')

it lets you be able to flash the awesome custom made roms from the chefs here. So that you can customize your phone you know?? do you have a rom on your phone right now?

haha that might be why.. the majority of the people out there would probably say to use mightyRom. it has everything in it you will need, and runs smoothly. basically all around good rom.

Ok the usb to pc worked I just have to uncheck the box that said Enable advanced network funcionality. Now my phone is able to sync. THANKS
I also notice I can not update PRL, Wimdows, & Profile. I get an error code 1012 but that has done this before HSPL 037? Any ideas?

my brothers diamond had this problem tonight! we had to call sprint, and edit the settings step by step with the sprint rep. i had the same error, and all it turned out to be was that just a number setting was wrong. you can call up a sprint guy anytime, and just tell him that update PRL isnt working, and what he had me do is type a number like ##8678# or something like that, im not too sure, and then he gives you a password that you have to type in and it sounds like it should be an easy fix.. just gotta deal with the sprint guy..

ok installed the mighty rom 6 from link you posted. Everything is AWSOME except it will not sync just like before & I check to make sure the box that I previously unchecked was unchecked. It is unchecked. I can go to sync cneter and see my phone but you can't access it, as it is ghosted out if you know what I mean.

my activesync doesnt work anymore either.. it is very weird, and gets soo frustrating. i dont have a memory card, so to update the rom i have to be connected. i usually soft reset until i get a connection... and this can take forever.. and sometimes i just let my phone sit there connected to my computer until it realizes that a phone is plugged in
