Problems Relocking
 

Hey Geekers,

I've had a few problems relocking my Touch pro. First i tried off of the SD card siince I have connection problems with vista, but no go. Then I tried on my XP work computer. I have pretty much given up, but i wanna know what will happen if i turn in an unlocked phone?

I am replacing my TP due to the oft mentioned keyboard failure.

check out this thread - it gives instructions on how to flash and relock from your SD card. This should be what you need. As for turning in an unlocked phone, I don't know if anything will come of it BUT I wouldn't risk it myself.

Thanks, this is actually the thread I started with. I have successfully unlocked and flashed with the info from this thread, but for some reason the relocker seemed to hang indefinitely (I gave up after abou 30 minutes of waiting). I was able to reflash with the stock rom and tried to use the relocker through activesync.

This seemed to work (both onscreen prompts said it was done correctly), but the TP still says that it is "security unlocked".

It will always say that - thats the radio that is unlocked..I remember when I got my first TP and went to bootloader before I did anything and was like sweet - its already unlocked! Ala, it was not unlocked for flashing. It actually sounds liek you're good to go !

Really? You mean I have been sitting here banging my head against a keyboard trying to figure out something I already fixed.
