Another AS thread, plus some crazy side effects of icon tweaking...

Aight. So I'm moving in 2 weeks to my new apartment, and I won't have access to a computer, meaning that I need to do everything I wanna do on a comp while I still can. Sooooo I spend literally all day tweaking, mostly learning about changing the start menu & taskbar icons.

About 4 hours ago, ActiceCrap stopped working, and I've spent all the time since then trying to get it going again to no avail.

It was working fine all day, but I think something I installed appearance-related, or me tinkering with the DLLs broke it.

"Why don't you try uninstalling to troubleshoot?" Hehe. One of the "crazy side effects" is that, everything on my remove proggy list is invisible...freakin odd lol. The other 2 things I've noticed are, DiamondBackgroundChanger is flipping out on startup, saying some error that shows up in taskmanager as simply "16". Number three is, I had an alarm set for 6:00 AM this morning, well I go to disable it, but it keeps setting itself back...lol.

It's looking like ima havta hard reset. If it was just the AS problem there's no way I would have done that, but kinda hard to continue using the phone in this condition. I have a feeling though that even a HR won't fix activesync.

I did a search on the web and ppcgeeks and holy shiza there are alot of threads concerning activesync. I've tried almost everything -but- hard resetting, and the link to that russian guy's small proggy to add the AS process that always deletes itself doesn't work.

So basically it's a lost cause lol, but any advice or tips on the activesync situation? And please share any related stories you have like this. First time I've seen weird effects like this on my phone.
