Re: What is PPST?
I have no idea what you downloaded or why you "called" #22803.
The only thing I know of that speeds up GPS fix is through apps that download the expected location of satellites onto the phone, which makes it easier for the GPS receiver to get a fix since it doesn't have to wildly scan for random satellites. SOmething along those lines... |

Re: What is PPST?
well then you really dont know the answer to the question I was asking. I'm not asking about QuickGPS, but rather a totally different issue.

What you are thinking of is a desktop-based utility called QPST (I think that's the name), and I think there is a slightly different one for GSM phones. |

Re: What is PPST?
As far as I know PPST has the files that will customize the phone to the company that supports it. So the wrong one will kill your phone if you goof.

Re: What is PPST?
on telus (my provider) #22803 will allow you to reprogram the phone (if you screw up important settings but can still make a call) and get a new PRL list.

Re: What is PPST?
well it seems to have worked great, and I'm with telus and the PRL is just a random one I downloaded. did reprogram via telus #22803 after, but it fixed the sjitty gps issue.
