Visual Voicemail Working on Verizon Touch Pro

my tp fell in the pool but i was able to dry it out and get it back going. i put the MR1 upgrade rom off verizon website and locked the phone back.
before i locked the phone i remember trying to use visual voicemail and it gave me an error and told me to contact customer service. i got the same message using the SSK 2.3 6.5
anyways i dont know if verizon just provisioned the phones or locking the phone caused it to work, but i just wanted to post the i have tested it and it works great. not sure if its worth the 2.99 a month, but ill give it a try for a while.

Am I missing something? I called Verizon to have the $3 service added onto my phone and 2 different reps (one being a tech) said it wasn't available on the HTC Touch Pro and there was no option on their end to add it. Did I just get the wrong 2 people?

Thanks for any help!

COONDOGG, Have you tried activating on the phone yet? i think verizon just provisioned it and they probably dont know about it yet? but of course im only assuming.

all i did was start visual voicemail and it asked me if i wanted to add it and normally it would stop at the last step and tell me to call cusomter service. but when i tried on july 19th it worked. went through the same process and it finally told me that it was successful. i have recieved many voicemail's, deleted them and everything has worked without a problem. it so easy.... when you get a voicemail it automatically brings up VVM so all you have to do it hit play and it already tells you who it from. after you listen you can delete right on the spot..... GOOD STUFF!

I've been using it on my phone - first since I upgraded to the Official Verizon rom update (which included VVM); and then using the v.19 (?) cab that was downloaded from Verizon once I was using the update. I use that .cab with the Calkulin kitchen - Last time I used it, it worked fine - I use it in spurts ... but my last bill did NOT include any $3 charge. And I would have been upset if there had been, there was NO Notice in setting up the VVM that there would be any additional charges.

I think that maybe verizon has decided to offer it as an included service? At least for the Touch Pros ...

You shouldn't need to Verizon to provision anything on their end ... at least I didn't

Jasoraso - Alright I just reflashed my phone to the Official Verizon Rom (1.08 firmware). I cant seem to find Visual Voicemail anywhere to send to my phone. Did you extract Calkulin Kitchen and just the Visual Voicemail cab from the exe file?

Sorry im a little lost here.

And Bignadad I have tried to go through the activation steps many times all with the same outcome to call CS. When I call CS they have no idea what they are doing.
