* Navigate to \Storage Card\SASHIMI\Program\2577. Here you will see a file called AutoRun.mscr.
* Create a shortcut to this file within the same directory and name it SASHIMI.lnk.
* Create an SDConfig.txt file with the below commands and save it to the root of the Storage Card. (Included SDConfig.txt attached)

That’s it!!!

Thanks for the advice, this should be great once i get past the Error: I got a Mortscript certs error, any advice?

I'm having an issue where Sashimi is only working on initial install. after, it tells me to use a mortscript version between 4.1.1.7 and 4.2. the rom I've got using 4.3b5 (what comes standard on it.) does anybody have a work around? So far this has been one of the most useful threads I've read on customization :)

thanks!

Try the steps on post #105... This is a workaround to execute SASHIMI without MortScript...

Well, I never really got it figured out... Played around and couldn't get it to start up... Read your post today and thought to myself let me give it a try... Launched SASHIMI and it booted up perfectly... Been testing off and on for the past few hours and have yet to experience again.

Go figure...

Just give'er a try and see if it launches for you... Make sure you launch from the shortcut in your start menu just in case...

Fingers crossed!!! :headbang:

Has anyone ever been able to auto config or skip the calibration? My TP screen is dead and I can't get past that point. My mobiler doesn't help either, figure the gurus here may know something to get around it.

1) After setting up server info location:

2) Set up Server

3) Using Sktools or prefered Registry Editor drill to:
HKLM\\Software\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSettings\ Now Back Up>>>Current Server Name, which YOU established during step 2

NOTE: If you installed, as i did, a carrier specific Arcsoft Cab other than yours, EX. Sprint Arcsoft MMS 5.2.0.22 VGALocated Here you will need to return to the Servers Settings and make your Carrier DEFAULT, then deleting other Server.

Hope this helps

This was already on Post 1 under software

backup reg key \HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1 export to Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\REG

Just got around to setting this all up...thank you for the guide. About to hard reset...

....wish me luck. :)

EDIT: Took fifteen minutes from flash to finish...awesome. ...and I think I can control the order that my cabs are installed by changing the name of the files...seems like they install in alpha order. Really dig this program, can't believe I took so long to set it up.

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

So I finally decided to try some of this today.. just been using an auto install app to load my .cabs and doing the customization later. I don't do a whole lot to my phone so it hasn't been too bad.

I finally got tired of setting up my slingbox and wanted to automate the install process using some of the tools here. The first thing I wanted was a good registry editor and I knew there was one out there that allowed you to navigate the phones registry on your pc. Looking at the XDA UC thread I found CeRegEditor which I must say is great!http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/

This program will make .cabs of your registry tweaks and makes finding changes to your registry easy.... all done on the pc while synced. I am still learning but I have managed to get my slingbox 100% configured using either sashimi or the .cabs made by ceregeditor.

Thanks for all the tips here I am also figuring out some of the other customizations as well. Sashimi seems to install everything so I guess I will stick with it for awhile and see how it goes.

SKTracker works wonders for tracking registry changes too. Unfortunately it's not free, but I think about $11. Not a big price to pay for the convenience of tracking down all of your registry, and file, changes  You don't need your PC with this one either.

There was this:

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73147

But it comes with some cons i.e. only works for your Outlook E-mail (Exchange) sig, and will continue to keep what you've added in the provisioning file even if you try and change it through Tools | Options | Signatures later on.

Set Titanium as Default | TouchFlow as Disabled
  • Check Windows Default and uncheck Touchflow in Today
  • Back up Reg Key \HKLM\Software\Today\Windows Default export to Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\REG
  • Back up Reg Key\HKLM\Software\Today\Touch Flo export to Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\REG

this key is wrong... should be \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\...

i have only been successful using the pim backup function in sashimi. The problem is it does not restore automatically. just put your pim.vol in the backups folder and run pim restore in sashimi.

any attempt to replace pim.vol manually has not worked for me but I am still new to this.

LOL.

I just read that if you disable tf3d you can replace the file... not sure if that helps or not.

I have been searching for a way to backup my windows live ID and password so the fields are already set when I log in for the first time. Seems like nobody has found this yet. anyone know?

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

so ive been playing around for a few days on and off.. and for the most part i have it all down... everything installs fine-still have to run a script for titaniumweather to show my icons, but all the info loads in fine(i think its just because it needs to run once though)... pim backup/restore was a simple setup...

im not sure why everyone goes through and backups reg entry by reg entry.. i just did the full backup, and put it in the auto\reg folder and that did everything... all my titanium, including weather, ringers, alerts, power settings, everything really... was way faster... just need to write the .ini now so everything goes where i want it so i have a nice clean start menu..

only thing i couldnt figure out was titanium has the default "my favs" which is PIE favorites, i cant get that to load in at all.... is it because i havent synced, so the favorites arent in the device yet? or am i just missing something simple??

thanks for all the great info and write up... made it easy when or if i did have questions... the 4 youtube videos r tremendous everyone, if your stuck watch those... i watched the first 2 once, and had everything, including makisu down after that.. came here, found the post on linking to folders and that was the final piece i needed to have to do nothing but a cpl "ok's" after a flash...

looks like goodbye activesync here real soon

well the main reason is that each new build that comes out will have different registry changes. i would hate to overwrite them with bad data...

Are you saying you backup your COMPLETE registry and then restore it? If so, personally I would prefer not to do that. You never know what's left over in a registry from a device you've used for some time. To me the whole idea of a reflash is to start 'clean' so to speak. By restoring an entire registry backup there's no way to tell what you may be reintroducing.

You could always do the reg-by-reg and then compile them into one single registry file to place in the auto/reg. However, by keeping them separate you can pick and choose which to keep and which to discard in the future as you stop using certain apps.

The complete backup/restore is of course by far the easiest to create though  However, with something like SKTracker you can fairly easily compare before and after registry snapshots and then save the differences to a new registry file.

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

In post #1, Murducky says copy all cab files to "Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\Cabs\", but by default, SASHIMI creates "Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\Cab\" which is described in SASHIMI's documentation as the "Default directory for CAB and tandem/bundled files for auto install."
What is the correct subdirectory name? "Cabs" or "Cab"? Or does it make a difference?

After updating to MightyROM 6.5 I can no longer run Sashimi. I'm greeted by the below picture. I'm sure I have some version of Mortscript since I have successfully used CHome Editor.

Can someone advise me on how to remedy this problem?

Thank you.

Hey Skid, Sashimi uses a later version of Mortscript so obviously you used CHome before Sashimi, which means that Mortscript is still running. Simply drill into the Sashimi program folder and click that Mortscript. Keep in mind, when you want to use CHome, you have to drill into it's program folder and choose that Mortscript, or you'll get the same error only in reverse!!! Hope this helps!!!

That helps a great deal. As you can tell, I know extremely little about Mortscript. I did as you suggested. Thank you for the help.

One other question. Is there a way to get rid of the dialog box I get after a soft reset? it's another Mortscript-related thing. Something like Mortscript is registered, run a script or read the manual. I get this dialog box after every soft reset.

Thanks much!

I think there is a Titanium Plugin you have running that will need mortscript so it may be there, or try choosing the Sashimi Mortscript last then restart your machine!

Ok, I see. I just used TC to search in the windows directory. I searched for Mort. Found a script file that was "StartUp\Mortscript.lnk" I double-clicked and the exact message I've been getting appeared. I suppose it's kosher to just delete this file?

I wouldn't delete it, I would back it up to the storage card or something, just in case. But yeah, deffinately remove it from the Start Up Folder! Also, keep in mind, it is needed to edit Titanium with CHome Editor, so it may come back if you decide to make further adjustments there!
