Thanks for the quick reply.
What would you suggest for this window? I am stumped...

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

Can anyone help me? I am using MightyRom and want to do this so restoring after new Roms would be easier.

I am a bit lost in the creation of the SDConfig.txt file.

It says to:
* Create an SDConfig.txt file with the below commands and save it to the root of the Storage Card. (Included SDConfig.txt attached)

What are the below commands? Also I did not see an Included SDConfig.txt.

Also I am using PHPreg to back up DeviceName and Alarm settings. When you export to Storage Card what name do you give the files? Does it matter?

Splash screen and startup sound I don't mind so no change there.

For Voicemail Number password. Do I need to do this? I have a password for voicemail thru Sprint. I thought the password was save with Sprint and not on the phone?

Also is Makisu the way to save all my email information login for Outlook Gmail using their exchange server, Hotmail and Yahoo email accounts?

TIA!

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

Don't worry about sdconfig for now. You can manually run sashimi using the file explorer. I don't know PHreg. If they are being exported to a reg file, you can just put them in the auto\reg folder. Voicemail password is not needed if you dail voicemail from phone - most carriers use caller id to recognize your phone.
Yes, Makisu is what you can use for email settings. I don't know how it works with various mail servers. I use it for pop mail.

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

I had a question about sashimi. I have been using the program for some time and I cannnot figure out how to make the cabs i am using install to the destination without asking. They are already in the folder for storage card install but the individual installs of each cab ask anyway. What is the process you have to do so that the individual cabs you install using auto installer don't ask you the destination before installing? This would make the process alot quicker. Thanks.

Did you put the files in the auto\cab\storage card folder? If so, it should be installing them automatically to the storage care. you are describing things as if they are in the manual directory

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

So has anyone figured out how to do any of the following apps in Sashimi (and keep the configurations):
Sling Player
Windows Live (hotmail)
MyPhone
Facebook (the Windows Mobile app)
QIK
MoTweets

I am new to Sashimi, and I assume I am looking for the reg files that I need to backup and restore. But if anyone knows a better way please let me know.

Re: User Customization Backup for Touch Pro using sashimi

I am not sure if this has been posted before, but there are a couple of tricks to find reg settings. You can backup the registry, make a change to the registry of interest, and then backup the registry again. Use a program like windiff to compare the files and find the registry changes you made. It takes a few tries to figure out which settings always change, but it works. Also, sometimes the settings are stored in files. You can make changes and check the windows directory or program files directory for the most recently changed files.
