A question about Sprint TV out
 

As long as I got the new Sprint Touch Pro, I immediately flashed the ROM, so I never notice there is a TV out function.

Now I am using the silence/Mighty ROM, and I can not see any TV-out program. So, my questions are:

(1) Is there a charge to Sprint user for using TV-out ? I mean, do we need something like a TV subscription? I have a Sprint SERVO plan, and looks like the package does not include TV.

(2) Or, do you guys hacked the phone so that you can use TV 'for free' (just as doing with tether)?

(3) For the phone using custom ROM, how to get the TV function?

The TV Out capability routes the display on the PPC to a television set. It doesn't give you on-air TV over your PPC.

Indeed I started this thread after reading your post.

So.....that's just a 'route', right? In order to make full use of this, I have to pay additionally to Sprint to get on-air TV.....pass it.

I think your misunderstanding what tv out does. It has nothing to do with sprint. What the function does is when you plug in the special tv-out cable to your usb port it will display whatever you see on your Touch pros screen on any tv set. The cable has RCA cable ends that will plug into the input on your tv. So you could do things like see pictures or video thats on your Touch Pro and see it on the bigger screen of your home television set.
