How to secure erase...

Does the hard reset using ##786# truly erase all personal information from the HTC touch pro? I need to swap out phones and want to make sure that my personal information is erased and not recoverable by some type of undelete utility.

Thanks.

Re: How to secure erase...

yes it should erase everything on the phone but that method is used typically when someone is having problems doing a hard reset. try turning your phone off, hold the volume down button and the enter (center button on the front face of the phone) at the same time then hold down on the power button until the grey screen pops up. follow the instructions and it will wipe everything from your system and return it to the original setup.

or you could go into setting and do a clear storage.
