the main reason i'm glued to 6.5 is the finger scrolling is FAR superior to wm 6.1 with touchflo, which is sketchy to say the least. In case anyone doesn't know in win 6.1 touchflo is what gives you the finger friendly scrolling, whereas 6.5 has native finger scrolling built into the os and is leaps and bounds more smooth in operation. I've tried to go back to a 6.1 rom, but cannot bear touchflo since using 6.5 for two months.

there are still plenty of solid 6.1 roms out there. if you dont like 6.5 just dont use it, seems pretty simple.

also like suggested above check out some of the kitchens and learn to make your own roms, that way there wont be anything in there that you dont need/want/like

then what's a good rom with 6.5??? I don't like Calculin, Warrior or Mighty Mikes. They all see too beauty over utility. I don't care if the OS looks good I just want to be able to use it and have it be snappy ya know.
(Currently am using Juicy's most recent 6.1 rom, until I can settle on a good 6.5 one)

cook your own rom, thats the best way. Why dont you try cooking with caulkins new kitchen, the 23004 build is treating me well so far

Like I just stated above, no more new builds for 6.1,
meaning there's nothing to update with the OSes themselves, only maybe the programs. But you could always download ppckitchen and make your own 6.1 rom.

Maybe I will cook my own rom but I do want to try and get used to 6.5 since I assumed it's better once once get's used to it, I appreciate the help so far (and sorry if I come off as a jerk) I've been flashing roms all day and can't stick to one I like since I usually like certain things about certain ones but not enough to keep that the primary. Is "Touch Flo 2" the vertical flipping style??

you should definately give groove's kitchen a try, its a little confusing at first, but overall visual kitchen is the way to go with 6.5
