Re: question about verizon touch pro so slow

for verizon touch pros my first suggestion is to read the unlocker thread and the flashing faq afterward. From then, choose a rom you like (for verizon touch pro, scrosler's roms, bored roms are good but if you are a bit adventurous try NRGZ with an 8 mb page pool and yes that is explained I'm sure in the flashing for first time faq)
it makes it faster, well updating the rom does i should say

Re: question about verizon touch pro so slow

Follow these directions to the letter... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503

When its unlocked it will say 0.35.CMONEX

If it doesnt say CMONEX its not unlocked

Then flash a rom

Re: question about verizon touch pro so slow

Long shot here, but make sure you're running the latest version of Active Sync (4.5) or if you're on Vista, download the latest Windows Mobile Device Center. And for good measure, and this (sometimes) will cause errors like what you're having, you must make sure you're running .NET 2.0, better yet .NET 3.5 and all updates for .NET before attempting to flash.

My sister was getting everything from the errors you have, to blue screens of death mid-flash (YIKES!) because of outdated, and missing .NET. Thank god the BSOD didn't kill the phone!

Re: question about verizon touch pro so slow

try unlocking it from the sd card, or try putting your phone in bootloader then running the unlocker on the computer.

Re: question about verizon touch pro so slow

hmm i had no problems unlocking my phone. I have vista 64 bit, and used windows mobile device center, i downloaded the .35 SPL posted on the sticky, make sure the PC has all the .NET framwork. make sure that it can connect to activesync or WMDC. reset the phone and put it into bootloader mode, then run the unlocker. thats what i did, and it worked on my first try. *now this is what i did and i wont take any responsibility for a bricked VZW phone =p* currently running migty rom 6
