Exclamation Three Very Important Technical Questions

My phone was acting weird (programs that were installed were not being found) so I soft reset. THe phone became infinitely paused at the touch pro flash screen. So i tried reflashing with my SD card. I flashed 2 different roms, both with filesizes greater than 110 megs. They would get stuck infinitely flashing through the SD card. Finally I flashed a rom (Mighty 6) which was under 100 megs and it worked.

1) It almost sounds like I had a device filesystem corruption or something. How would I determine if a portion of my device's filesystem is corrupt?

2) If part of the file system is corrupt, is there a way to mark the corrupt portions?

3) If it's not a corrupt filesystem, what else could it be?

Thanks guys, I'd appreciate any help!

Re: Three Very Important Technical Questions

Have you tried removing the storage card and seeing if you can flash a larger ROM.
I just had a 16G card crap out on me and it made my phone run like molasses. I also was getting "invalid format" errors. But this was all related to the storage card. Back to my 8G and it was fine

Couldn't really tell you about the file sys thing.

Re: Three Very Important Technical Questions

The thing is, I could not get an activesync connection since the phone would not load the os...so I had to load the rom from a card. I have two different cards...happened on both of them. I reformatted both cards as well.

Regardless, Flashing Mighty seemed to work. Would be nice if there a utility such as chkdsk for the device's filesystem. It remains to be seen if I'll encounter more problems.

Re: Three Very Important Technical Questions

I have not heard of such a thing but flashing a phone is way to easy and I think a check disk program would take for ever to run on the TP.
