Re: htc touch pro - need to stop pocket dialing

My phone has been calling people randomly, because anyone in my 2 most recent calls, all it need is a touch to dial them. Is there a way to disable dialing by just touching the 2 recent numbers that show up above the keypad? This has gotten me in trouble before.

I just put a lock on my phone, if your not on it alot, make it lock after 5 mins of not using it. Mine makes me slide a icon before it unlocks, cant do that in my pocket

Re: htc touch pro - need to stop pocket dialing

I tried Pocket Shield and I LOVE it. The feature I love most (which should stop pocket dialing) is that it uses the light sensor. If there is no light (eg, in the case or in my pocket), then it doesnt unlock.

I still hate the 1 touch dialing from the stock phone dialer though. I tried the dialer that came with Pocket Shield, and it fixed the 1 touch dialing, but I do not like how small the dial pad keys are compared to the stock dialer. I uninstalled it and went back to the stock dialer.
I wish I could remove 1 touch dialing from my recent calls list. It is cool, but it calls people too much. I have to constantly explain to people how "dial happy" my phone is.

this dont work most of the times, what if you make a sudden move or something and open up the keyboard some how, idk for some reason it happens to me! by the way, dont think it opens all the way, a little movement that makes the phone think im opening the keyboard, it lights up!

For the keyboard sliding issue, I used the registry fix (clicky) that prevents the device from waking up when you slide the keyboard open. If you don't mind this, that will fix it. (i happen to like the feature anyway as I rarely if-ever slide the keyboard open when it is sleeping)

This, in combination with slide to unlock or any other competent locking app did the trick for me.
