Re: Bluetooth stereo Headsets for the Touch Pro

Ok cool, I will test it out. One thing to mention the media player used makes a difference. I am happy with teh quality of the sound I have but if it can be improved ,why not

I was using CorePlayer (paid) before and after and noticed a considerable difference on my high quality audio tracks before and after. With low volume or lower quality headphones, or low bitrate songs, the difference may not be as noticeable but I've tried to keep high quality songs at the very least

I haven't but if I'm bored one day I might. The full version of CorePlayer is about as featured as they come. I use it to listen to internet radio streams (particularly, di.fm and a radio station out of detroit), and watch episodes of various shows, encoded in the many formats they are encoded in. CorePlayer has handled everything I've thrown at it so far, AND has QTV support, which means much nicer video playback.

I concur. I got a pair of these a month or two ago. Comfortable, sound good, has a reasonably loud amp (much louder than the Plantronics855), and don't fall out of my ear (like the Plantronics 855).

They also have a built-in bass-boost that I think sounds pretty good with the "headphones" eq setting in Pocket Player and the default eq on the HTCaudio player (that is, with no audio booster). Strange thing is that audi booster would throw an error that no headphones were plugged in when using the Plantronics 855, but with the Altec Lansing Backbeat audio booster doesn't throw an error nor does the audio booster do anything to the sound over A2DP. I guess that's not too surprising.

Also it appears that the A2DP functionailty in the Altec Lansing headphones is done by Plantronics.

Re: Bluetooth stereo Headsets for the Touch Pro

I use this unit:

http://reviews.cnet.com/headsets/jab...-32900510.html

Battery life is pretty good, I'd guess right around 7-8 hours of playback. You can use any standard 3.5mm headphones so if you have a decent set of headphones you can use those.

It has a built in mic so you can answer incoming calls. Mic isn't outstanding but it's not what I bought the unit for anyways.

Hey HB, glad you like the 620s!
I still have the Jabra 3030 if the original poster is interested in them.
