Possible to disabling certificate checking in WM6.5?

Is there a way to disable certificate checking/validation in WM6.5? From what I'm reading, the tweaks that used to work for PPC 2003 and WM5 no longer work in WM6x. I have searched and searched and the solution to this problem still evades me.

Our Exchange administrator has me testing our VM Exchange 2007. I had to add HOST entries on both my PC and WM phone. Our cert is a wildcard cert.

Thanks!

Tested:
1) Manually creating - HKLM\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\webmail.xxxxxx.com
2) Software created host change (same registry change created as above)
3) Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Pa rtners secure=0

Edit: No creating a new DNS record because of how the exchange 2007 is setup to use our production DNS record for webmail.

Re: Possible to disabling certificate checking in WM6.5?

Hmm to my understanding, the security enforcement is pretty tight starting with Exchange 07 and the 08 ADs... depends on how the cert. is utilized in your environment.

After all, there is a reason for your sysadmin to issue you a certificate to begin with: security.

So to answer your question, I don't know, nor I know if it is even possible because the NAP can take over if the requirements doesn't meet.
