Please Help Alltel Stock ROM questions
 

Hello i was wondering in the CDMA Stock ROM Links post the Alltel one says OS only so does that mean i have to download any radios? It sais it is a Dumped ROM so i don't know.

your radio will still be there. OS only most likely means that there are no "APPS"

OS only means its just the stock ROM no radio or splash.
You need to find a shipped ROM to overwrite all of it.

Your OS and Radio are generally going to be 2 seperate things when flashing. Unless you're downloading some specific setup most ROM chef's don't include Radio's. So whatever is on your phone when you flash it will still be there radio wise.

I'm using the new Verizon on my Alltel TP and it's been great. For ROM I've been bouncing beween the new Magic ROM and the 6.1 Merid ROM.

Basically, stock ROM's usually include radio's with them

the one you are reffering to does not

in other words, if you flash the stock rom, you wont get the stock radio back, assuming you flashed another radio.

so lets say the stock radio is 1.1.1 (example), and you flashed 1.1.2, if you flash a stock ROM, it will flash the radio back to 1.1.1, and if you use the rom only, it will leave the radio alone
