Hard Keyboard "Auto-repeat" function...Grr

Ok I have done a bit of searching & I cannot locate any way to remove or increase the time before a key is repeated on the hard keyboard. I am sick and tired of pressing a letter an instant too long & ending up with 5 of the same character. I don't even understand why there is an auto-repeat on a PPC keyboard.

If your keyboard is typing "like thissssss" and you only pressed the s key once, then you have a hardware issue and sprint should replace your phone no questions asked. I just finished relocking and I'm going in today to get my FOURTH replacement touchpro for this issue.

Whoa! It's not hardware.

The settings are Settings\Personal\Buttons\Up Down Control

Make it short and slow and you'll be just fine.
