Tethering on Virtualbox

I have posted this on another thread but didn't get answer, so posting on a separate thread.

I am having trouble tethering from my Sun Virtualbox(host : XP and guest XP)
I am able to tether from my host XP machine. But the guest XP system gives the error "The USB device is busy with previous request". This error goes away if I add the filter for USB HTC Generic RNDIS device, with all fields empty and only Name and VendorID has the text values in it. But the windows device manager shows as the device could not start with a yellow exclamation mark. Error code 10.

By the way, I am able to connect to my guest XP using Active Sync, and also as Mass Storage device. I am using Active sync 4.5(reinstalled couple of times)

I hope somebody else may have come across the same situation, and found a solution. This will enable my browsing while on work, safely!

Here is what I did: tether to your host PC through USB then in the network adapter settings of VirtualBox choose PCnet-FAST III and use your "Windows Mobile-based Internet Sharing Device" as the bridged network adapter. It's what I'm using right now because my work has a proxy. Good luck and hit thanks if I helped (I don't have very many of those yet).

One more thing to check in order for it to show up in VirtualBox, make sure your "Windows Mobile-based Internet Sharing Device" (in the properties of the network adaptor and in the general tab) has "VirtualBox Bridged Networking Driver" selected (you might have to select, deselect then reselect again then click OK).
