Question ab out HTC 1 year warranty

I am experiencing the keyboard issues involving the loose ribbon cables. I would rather not open the phone myself but i need to know if i should relock the phone and restore the original Sprint rom before taking it to Sprint. Any help is appreciated.

If you are taking it to the sprint store, it is HIGHLY recomended that you flash the original sprint rom and relock. Flashing custom roms actually voids your warrenty, but they cant tell if you flash back and relock

Is my only other option contacting HTC and sending the phone to them? If so, how long before i would actually receive a new pro or my repaired pro?

as the above guy mentioned, flash back to stock ROM, lock it back up with the re-locker, and take to sprint. HTC will not mess with it.

Do you have insurance on your plan? If you have TEP you can make a claim, and you'll get your replacement on the next business day, but you have to pay a deductable which is like 100 bucks now, so your best option is the sprint store

i do ahve TEP and if there is a way to get a new phone without paying the $100, then i guess i will have to flash back and relock. Thanks to everyone for your comments.

I"m not sure about Sprint, but with Verizon/Alltel, if you can prove the keyboard is bad and you've had the phone less then 1 year, you'll get an XBM (Exchange by mail) refurbished phone free. Insurance is only if it's your fault (your dropped it in the lake), or if your outside your 1 year warranty.
