Req: Countdown App
 

I have looked quite a bit for a countdown application that will countdown a long period of time. Maybe a couple of months or a couple of years. I have downloaded several but they did maybe 99 hours or less. Anybody got any leads on one or maybe know how to make one?

It would be quite hard to write considering anytime you soft reset the phone, all the previous count down data would be lost, at that rate, just use the calender application with an alarm to alert you at the time specified. Any other specific program other than calender apps would be quite useless at that task simply due to the large countdown and might create an overflow error if the time is too far apart, at least that's my understanding of the situation.

A 24 themed clock ticking sound would be fantasmic as well.

Why couldn't the program be written to count down from the future date/time specified? It wouldn't matter then if you soft reset because there wouldn't need to be previous count data.

Edit: I am guessing you looked at these apps. I would look through them, but stupid McAfee at work is blocking every link.

Thanks Jason, I looked through quite a bit of these and didn't see anything but I will keep looking. Basically I am looking for something that would let you put in christmas and it would say 180 days to christmas. Everyone i have tried so far only goes to so many hours not days. And I would sure hope something like this isn't impossible as I had a program on an old palm pilot 3-4 years ago. I would hope our TP's could handle something a palm could.

That one does look fairly promising. If only the trial actually let me do anything. Now to decide if I wanna drop the 10 bucks or keep looking for a free one.
