Why are there so many roms for CDMA and not GSM?

Can someone help me understand the reason why there is so much development around the CDMA phones and so little work for GSM?

I was considering switching, but now I am not sure.

Thanks,

Mike

There is a lot more support for GSM at xda-developers.com. i suppose cdma support is here and gsm is there and people didn't want to split it up. Also, there are more North American users here and more world-wide users at xda.

That's because PPCGeeks is mostly a CDMA site. Go check out www.xda-developers.com plenty of GSM roms there

That, and there are more CDMA carriers offering the TP. Verizon, Alltel, Sprint... as far as I know, there's only 1 carrier in the US that offers it. So, less users, less cooks, less roms.

+1 on XDA! That was my home a couple of years back when I was with ATT.

I was going to basically say all of this.
I lived on XDA for soooo much longer than here.
Only had an account here to get stuff that was linked over here really.
But then started to migrate here due to their overloaded servers.
XDA's servers can be quite the pain alot of the times.
But I still go there alot,
TONS of info to read, apps, etc.
But I don't really post all that much over there really.

So yeah, here's the link you'll want to go to for the raphael (touch pro).
