OK Im About To Move Out Into My Own House And I Rlly Dont Want To Buy Internet. But I Was Wondering If I can Tether My Phone To My PS3 So I Can Play Online. Is t Possible Or Would It Be Terribly Slow??

it wouldnt be slow on your end, but you would probably lag others out big time. Just get dsl, 15 bucks a month

15 bucks a month if you already have att phone line, like 35 otherwise. Guess I should have answered the question... It will work, I've done it with an Xbox360 and wmwifi router. PS3 has wifi without adapter so you could just use that.

Well it certainly is possible if you purchase a little program called wmwifirouter (well worth it). They offer a trial so you don't get screwed. wmwifirouter usually circumvents tethering costs...but that's not a guarantee, so make sure you test it lightly and check your bill, or make sure you have a tethering plan. Tethering plans are usually more expensive than signing up for home internet. Even without a tethering plan you still need an unlimited data plan (depending on how much data you plan to use).

Anyways, what wmwifirouter basically does is turn your phone into a wireless router by setting it to broadcast an ad-hoc connection.

As for the speed, that depends on your phone's internet speed. Don't reliably expect more than 1 Mbps though.

would not be worth it at all...i have done it just for a firmware update and that took over 2 hours to do. some landline providers offer up dsl for 15 bux a month or 20 for stand alone service...i know time warner cable has a deal going on for 1999 a month for 3mb down service...so many low cost options out there right now its silly to use your phone as isp for that reason.

att&t has just high speed internet for $19.99/month. and that's an everyday price, not an introductory price.(i sound like the commercial)
