Can I change a ROM?

I installed a ROM on my TP. It is made for Sprint, and I have US Cellular. I really like the ROM except I would like to change a couple things. Like the Sprint TV and Sprint Music Store Icon also the two favorites in the internet tab (I rather have the ability to add my own). They are of no use to me and I really don't want the Sprint (Nothing against Sprint, US Cellular had the best plan for me at the time I renewed.) taking up real estate on my TP.

Now before everyone jumps in and says "Use this or that ROM" I have tried 9 different ROMs in the last week, and the ones you are suggesting I probably already tried. I like this one!!! It's just a couple things I would like to change.

And before someone says "Just post in the creators thread and maybe he/she can make a new ROM with the changes" I have tried that, and I guess being a noob, I am ignored. :(

So if there is a way, can someone explain how to do it?

Re: Can I change a ROM?

Yes you can. Although most of the roms here use "protection" so they cannot be disassembled into a "useable" kitchen. I use calkulins kitchen, somewhere I have directions, but you can use the link in my sig How to Customize a Custom Rom: Adding/Removing Programs. Then copy the SYS, OEM, and ROM directories into a blank calkulins Kitchen Calkulin's HTC Kitchen(v1.6).

:headbang: Thanks, I will look into that when I get home. I really love this ROM, it's just a couple things I would like to change. Someday I will try cooking my own, but not right now. :violent2:

:protest: Wife says I am spending too much time on computer. But I do stop when I go to bed, so it's not like I spend 24/7 on it!!!
