data sessions draining battery

I am having the exact same issue... started a couple days ago. I shut off all the radios and that didnt seem to help. I hard rest the device a couple times and that doesnt help either. I had a spare battery (brand new) and that drains very quickly as well. I always had email checked every 30 minutes and causual use throughout the day and I would still be on full bars. Now, the battery is completely drained within 6 hours or so. Any advice? This happened to be a couple months ago, did a hard reset and then it worked fine. This time that doesnt seem to do the trick.

Im running mighty rom 5, and I have noticed as well, that the data connection stays on after i check my email, get on msn messenger, opera mobile. granted, i manually check my email, and when i see the arrows still on, i just to the the settings and turn it off. I have read anything that can stop that. the best thing though about mighty rom is that in 10-15 mins of charging i get most of my battery life back.
