Wif Causing overheating

I have now run three differnt roms and I find that MY harware will get very hot in the back of the phone just above the battery. *Not the Battery itself* I have also observed that commensurate with the heating performance is degraded. The wifi signal is also dropped and started again many times. The phone will hang for minutes and eventually I have to do a battery pull and let it cool down. Does anyone else have this issue and if so is there a particular cause??? If I get an insurance replacement will this issue happen again??

Re: Wif Causing overheating

The phone overheating was one of the chief complaints in the beginning. Newer models supposedly are built better however. Insurance replacements are not gauranteed to get you a new device, and you may wind up with more faulty hardware.

Re: Wif Causing overheating

never had a real issue with signal strength wether it was WiFi, or celluar service. The device does warm up, plenty of threads covering that issue, but it only warms up with major usage. ive had mine heat up pretty good when im using Sprint Navigation but nothing unbearable. If its too much for you to handle try a replacement device.

Re: Wif Causing overheating

A different radio MAY help a little bit.
