anyone know how to reduce or elimate keyboard lag?

flash dcd's .96 rom in the cdma upgrades forum. Its an extremely light 6.1 rom that has eliminated keyboard lag for me. I have tried many roms and this is the fastest rom out there to me as well.

Keyboard lag may be a combination of hardware/software issues. If it's just lagging by a couple letters as you are typing and doesn't freeze it's probably software. But if it's lagging and freezing as you are typing, it may be hardware fault.

Do you have lag when texting? You should try deleting some of your text messages if you have a lot saved/threaded.

I definitely see "less" lag when I keep my inbox semi clear. The more text messages you have, the more lag you will see, at least from my personal experience.

It's true, if you keep you inbox clear and your message count low it helps, that and DCD's ROM's are very quick and work great for keyboard lag, they are very bare but very very fast. Other than that, your just kinda stuck with it. Soft resets fix it for a lil bit but not much, it's irritating but I have gotten used to it.

The only ROM that has ever totally eliminated KB lag for me is merdin's latest 6.5.

With that ROM, the lag is totally gone in my case.

Flash DCD's ROM either .96 if you want the fastest ROM available, or 1.05 if you want the fastest 6.5 ROM available (though youtube doesnt work right now which will be fixed in the next release). Both of them pretty much eliminate all keyboard lag and the entire system runs much faster. Really stable, just great ROMS.

its software lag. when I slip out the keyboard to type a message or txt its a lbig lag. i have to stop typping and wait for it to catch up.

Also on mighty Mike's rom dated 6-03-09 ( a very bare 6.1 rom) there is no keyboard lag. I think they figured it out to be something wrong with a particular volume cab or skin they were using....its a great rom.
