Project - CHEF

The intention of this thread is to gather as much information on how to make a ROM - Kitchen in every sense. I have searched much information but there are always details left out, or that its just there but not all together (many topics, many different forums)

What I would like to do here is gather as many links as possible and then when all (Hopefully) seems to be there I will then create another Thread with an A to Z on how to be a chef and open a whole new ball club of willing chefs. I myself am very interested to have as much knowledge on making ROMS and would love to have a thread that answers it all!

So for Example, if you (Chef) know a wonderful source on XIP (What is it? How to manipulate it, tools for it etc etc) put the topic and link

Example:

XIP Tools:
Links

XIP Explanation
Links

XIP for download
Links

Some Topics to gather

NBH
Definition
Tools for extraction
Tips
Compiling files
Compressing Files
SD Config Configuration
Packing
Manila Editing
What is an OEM Package?
Sys Files
OEM V Cab Files
Signatures
How to manipulate ROM version info
Build OS
RUU Tools
What can you do with existing ROMS and Kitchens?
Page pool Editing
Sources
Please don't worry about order as this is just to know where to go... I will then take the assignment of getting IT all together... My goal is to have a place where you WILL learn how to be a chef from scratch no experience needed...
From Beginners to Experts...
Thanks! LET’S GET STARTED!!

I've just recently started learning what I can about the whole thing, but it's a bit overwhelming. Love to eventually have my own ROM though.

If you need a step by step guide, you'll never be a good chef

Nobody is born a doctor, an architect… Being a Chef for Windows Mobile is no exception… What better to have one place where it is all there… I’m not asking for opinions if this should be done… I’m determined regardless… I just want the links… :)

there are plenty of threads to help you start, and if you show you are interested enough, im sure the chefs here would be MORE than happy to help. If you look at the ROMs that are out there, plenty of chefs are thanking other chefs for their help. Just try to learn as much as you can on your own, and if you get stuck PM a chef and see if they can help you out. Like rusk said if you need a step by step, you might be able to cook but youll never be a chef. Doctors go to school and they do residency training to get hands on, once they leave medical school for the day do you think they dont go home and learn as much as they can on their own??? Its called homework!!!!

True... Homework... I just want to be able to put it all together... All I'm asking for is links... if you know of some, post em :) Thats all I ask for... I have PM a couple of chefs on getting started... Never got a response so I decided to go public with my inquiry.

I don't see an issue with having ONE source for all, as it was said previously it is overwhelming to compile all the information... For that and many other reasons I would like to create a complete Thread... learn what you can and begin from there...

I would like to learn how to be a chef but i recently decided to go to the darkside a little. I will try to be building some apps for the iPhone as soon as i get my Mac Mini. But dont worry yall i still like my touch pro better than the iPhone because it has everything the iPhone 3GS has plus more and it is still inthe first iteration!!!
