Question Anyone else have to press [messages] button twice when TP keyboard is open?

Sorry if there is already a thread about this, I tried google-ing for the past two days with no luck.

Does anybody elses touch pro open the messages app in the background when started by the touchscreen button while slid opened? Every time I slide the keyboard and press messages, I can see the scroll bar for a second and it goes immediately to the background. If I press it again it will open, and if I click the task manager icon it is running in the background. My brother just got a TP so I tried it on his and it works like normal. I assume it is a side effect of something I installed, or a registry edit I made maybe. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, or even confirmation that I am not alone with this bug.

What hacks have you done to your TP, and what programs do you have installed? I think I have transparent flip clock, the custom taskbar with % battery icon, disable active sync from starting, faster text input...

Hmm, the faster text input is the only hack I installed (that I can think of) that has to do with messaging.

Anybody else having this problem?

I think it's hard to believe only two people are experiencing this problem. Even if you don't have a fix, please post what you have done to your tp to help me figure out what is wrong. Or at least to confirm that more than two people have this bug........anybody?

Thanks

Have you modified your top task bar at all? I believe if you modify it at all, you will see this. I think it's some .dll file that causes this. I was seeing this quite often on my last TP. I didn't make any changes on my current TP and I don't see this problem anymore. ::knock on wood::

EDIT: You can read more about it here:

Re: Anyone else have to press [messages] button twice when TP keyboard is open?

I was having this problem as well. I didn't make any modifications to the task bar, or any of what mikel81 listed. The solution for me was to flash the Mighty Rom 4. I didn't want to flash, I liked the stock rom just fine aside from this issue. But it was driving me crazy, and after multiple hard resets and gradual installing of my apps I couldn't figure out what was causing it.

I do have the colored icons on the top task with the percentage battery icon installed.

And thanks for the link, I have never had that happen but it sounds like a similar problem.
