cant find internal storage on phone?????
 

i just ran mighty rom 5 which i am liking very much. I am installing different cab files using active sync but im not finding the internal storage folder?? help please thks

Dude, just, create a folder named Internal storage....unless I am missing something that is that.....i ususally put cabs in SD and install most apps on main mem...

he probably got the app from a thread about the diamond.
just put it on the sdcard, if you don't have one, just put it in your documents or something and run it from there, but when you reflash/hardreset you'll lose everything on the phone.
I recommend getting and using a sdcard.

internal storage is the folder on the diamond - since there is no micro sd card slot
out tp's (what ur profile says) have a folder called storage card. if you don't have it run opera on mighty 5 and it will create it. (that is where it stores the temp files) OR INSERT A MEM CARD AND IT WILL SHOW UP.

ok koo, i didnt know i could put the programs on the storage card, i thought u had to put on those cab programs on the actual device. are there any specifice cabs that actally need to be installed on the device???

any app or file that is access often should go on the phone... most cache intensive apps will have an option to store the cache on a storage card though.

the only reason i asked is when i would have the active sync, there would be a folder name internal storage, now i got a storage card, but i just assumed that specific folder held the a specific amount of storage and that the cabs i was installing should be on the actual device as oppossed to the storage card.

u store the cabs on the card but install to the device its that simple, all those apps will now have sys folder in "program files" on your device....

tons of things can stay completely on the card though.. i only install apps on device that have to do with the device(ie dialers, file explorers, web browsers, tweaks, camera things, gps stuff, s2u2, things like that... like all my games, funny little party apps, etc stay completely on my card

"installing ... cab files" can mean different things to different people.

It sounds as if you're actually "installing" via ActiveSync, not just copying .cab files from your computer to your phone. If that's the case, you will usually want to install to the device and not to the SD card (one of which should have come with your phone).

For most of us, "installing cabs" is likely to mean copying them to a folder on the SD card then running them from there and installing the program to the device. The reason many of leave the .cab files on the card is because we're flashing junkies and use an automated process or even old-fashioned manual tapping to reinstall programs after flashing a new ROM.
