TP2 won't reboot after TomTom uninstall

I've just tried to uninstall TomTom (v7.9) and the uninstall hung so I had to do a reset using the hard button. Now my TP2 hangs when trying to restart. It is showing the Today screen when it hangs, with PShield in the title bar.
There are two menu options at the bottom: Calendar and SPB Home, but I can't access either as the machine is locked.

Could anyone please advise?

I was running SPB Mobile Shell 3, PocketShield and Gyrator.

I've now found that it will restart if I remove the SD card, but when I replace it I get the same problem. Does anyone have ideas for figuring out the problem?

since it works without the sd card id say the sd card is bad or has something corrupt on it.... Id format the card then see if that fixes it.

or just try erasing the tom tom program by using your pc.... maybe its just the program on ya sd card messing with it......

Re: TP2 won't reboot after TomTom uninstall

I know Tom Tom puts a registration file on your SD Card root. something like tomtom.bif. Might be a system file and be hidden, cant remember...

have you tried a hard reset? that tends to solve a lot of issues. but it does sound like there is some sort of miscommunication between your SD card and the device registry. maybe the reg is looking for a file no longer on the sd card since you aborted the uninstall mid way through....
