Re: Registry question
i actually found a way
i exported each registry folder (hkcr hkc and hklm) as 3 separate rgu files and then opened up 1 of the folders and imported the other 2 folders to it and saved... 1 big registry rgu file lol 1 other thing, if i add this to oemizer, will it cause any problems? since its a complete registry i am adding |

Re: Registry question
What you are talking about doing is a really bad idea. You will likely break things in future sys builds that have different OS reg changes. You are much better off to isolate the reg entries that you want to restore, and do it that way.

Re: Registry question
could it be because if i build the registry into the kitchen it will lock up the registry like it does with oem files and how you cant erase them? or is there some other reason why this wont work?

Re: Registry question
It will work, but MS changes system registry entries from build to build, and if you restore old registry entries you will potentially break apps and features. You may also make your device run slower. Also, if you add new oems your registry backup could potentially overwrite the registry settings for the new oems and cause them to work. Just trust me on this one.
Backing up specific registry settings is a good idea, but you need to know which ones you want, and for what reason. |
