Screen flickers and jumps around.. any fix?

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had flickering problems with their TP? It started probably a month after I had it, just started happening. For example the lower portion of the screen will all of a sudden jump to the top and just looked all messed up. It's pretty unuseable. Also as soon as I turn it on the screen is all black with white lines, it only clears up when WM is fully loaded and I press the power button to turn the screen on and off. But the main issue is the screen flickering around.

Any ideas?

The exact same thing was happening to me, just back up your contacts and do a hard rest, that is what I did, and no problems since.

I get this same problem now too. I have hard reset and flashed different ROM's and I cannot seem to shake it. It really makes the TP hard to use...

Yea tried that, same thing. Seems to be a hardware error.

Now I gotta go through all this crap to get another one, *sigh*.

You are going to need to replace it. Mine started doing the same thing and also the screen alignment would be messed up. Eventually the screen just died one day and all that showed was the black light. I took mine in for repair at sprint and took an hour for them to replace the screen.( They basically just attached the whole screen part that slides out. So half my phone is new and half is old :P

Hm.. come to find out I didnt really hard reset it. Nothing is working. Is there a way to hard reset it where I don't have to follow any prompts on screen? When my TP comes on I cant even view the screen. It's just a faded black color.

its the battery. one of my batteries tends to make my phone do that after a few hours of use... the other batteries don't, ever. i marked that battery. i only use it as a backup for my backups.

My first TP started presenting those exact symptoms about a week after I got it. I tried multiple ROMs, eventually reverting back to stock, and it didn't clear up. Hate to say it, but I had to get a new phone.

Interesting. In my case, they actually used the battery from my defective TP in the replacement phone, so it's not always the battery. Still, couldn't hurt to test before getting a new phone...

they let me keep my old batteries, i've been through 3 of them. the last 2 had that problem with the one battery, the other batteries never caused it. i have a feeling that this is the oldest battery too because it has the most marks and stuff on it.
