How to find out if my Pro is a refurb...done it before but cannot remember how.
I know I was able to find out if my phone was a refub once with the help of Sprint Tech Support. I just got my replacement for the one I dumped in the toilet=D>. It looks new, in a new box and all but I am very sekptical. Can someone here tell me how to access the menu that tells if the phone is new or refurb?

if you push ##778# into the dialer, it should give a "refurbished" yes or no box and a date if it was refurbished

On the dial pad, dial ##786#
You should get an EPST window right when you press the last # The 5th line should show the refurbishment status, and the next line will show the date refurbished, if available. EDIT: Wow. It took me 10 minutes to write a response. FAIL |

just for future reference- if it comes in a new box, its a new phone... if it comes in a little white box in bubble wrap and no battery, its a refurb

I highly doubt it was new. You're telling me they would open a retail box, remove the accessories, repackage a brand-new, perfectly good phone, and send it to you? Simply by opening the box and breaking the seals they cannot claim a phone is brand new. Violation of FTC rules. |
