sprint static ip?
 
does anyone have a static ip on there tp account and able to tether without the pam plan?

i am going to guess no because it's not meant nor designed to be that sort of service.

Although you can "tether" it's not something they want, as they cap that. Also they mean the inet service to be access from the phone itself only, not to share the glorious bandwidth!

they dont offer static ip's for phone data plans....not even for an evdo card...

he's correct, even if you pay for pam, you still wouldn't have a static ip.

Not sure what you planned on using a static ip for, but have you considered something like dyndns? It is free. . .

sprint tech told me that i can get static ip for 3 buks that will work on my tp but scared of getting cought of tethering with out pam
