unless there are different settings for different carriers, my VZN TP with SSK's rom only has wireless(as in cellular), not wireless and wifi as options under internet sharing.

Re: Touch pro as wifi card for laptop?

Options:

1) Use WMWiFiRouter

2) Use ICSControl

3) Use Internet Sharing and manually edit HKLM\Comm\ConnectionSharing\PublicInterface with the name of your wifi card (ie TNETW1251)

Let us know which method you choose and we can walk you through the details.

I chose method 2, if you could walk me through the ICS method, cuz I tried but failed.

I think I have posted some info on it in the past, let me see if I can find a link...

You might check this post. For your situation however, you would want to set the Public Interface as the WiFi card in your phone (TNET...) and the Private Interface as the USB connection (RNDIS...).

If you can't get it working, I'll try and post more detailed info later when I have time to play.

Re: Touch pro as wifi card for laptop?

Devil, I will try to find you a detailed step by step. Btw what version do you have of wimowifirouter? I use .91 which is the free version, what I did was install the "ICS" tweak/hack that you can on TP essentials stickied uptop, then created an "ad-hoc" connection under wi-fi and that was it. I launch wifi/winmo and boom connect the laptop to TP..
this is something i just pulled , i didnt watch that video, do a serach and u ll find a step by step

Re: Touch pro as wifi card for laptop?

Damn, I'd definitely be interested in doing this if my service got terminated.
