Problem opening up .cab files

i just got my verizon htc touch pro. i am trying to unlock the gps in my phone. i see the thread of how to unlock it. but i cant get past the first step. when i put the files on my card and try to run setup, the setup.cab file is for some reason associated with opera and doesnt install anything. all it does is boot up opera and give me some error page. any help? like i said i just got it today so i have not made any changes like that. i have had a winmo device before such as the omnia so i am falimiar with the way a .cab file is supposed to boot up. so how do i open up the set up file?

Re: Problem opening up .cab files

Sounds like you may have a bad cab file. To check to see if it is the file, can you install any other cab? If it does the same thing then you will need to change the association. If not, then you know it is the file.

Re: Problem opening up .cab files

I am trying to install the same .cab files for gps-unlock.

I downloaded them to my hard drive.

Please list the steps to take to install the .cab file, the main post just says "install it", which is useless. (Nothing in README/FAQ/anywhere I can find)
