6.5 start menu

Im trying 6.5 for the first time and im liking it so far except for the start menu....it makes me wanna cut myself....ive spent the past 30 min tryong to figure out how to make it like 6.1s menu but im coming up with nothing....best thing ive found so far is reStart or something like that but it just allows you to change the order of things so its not really what im looking for.

upon more searching I found a program called quick menu but im not sure if its compatible with 6.5 and I would rather not hard reset again :-p

Re: 6.5 start menu

Quick menu is an app that allows you quick access to open programs, that is all. WinMo 6.5 is just configured (so far, no official RTM) like that from what I can tell. I disliked as well when having to configure for the first time.

Re: 6.5 start menu

yeah you can't get it back to a start menu like 6.1. This is Microsoft's new finger friendly approach. I never liked it myself at first, but got use to it and enjoyed it for the time i was using the 6.5 ROMS.

Re: 6.5 start menu

I know what quickmenu is... I was stating that people have use quickmenu over the windows 6.5 start menu to try to get that 6.1 feel back...

Re: 6.5 start menu

Sorry journey, it wasn't meant directly at you. I was replying to the OP and you chimed in just for me. I had never thought of using it that way, when I had WinMo 6.5.

Re: 6.5 start menu

I hate the stupid 6.5 menu also, but I dropped a quick menu shortcut into it at the top so I now have the choice of either start menu with a single click.

Re: 6.5 start menu

yeah i miss the 6.1 start menu. I had all my applications right there. It's a chore finding stuff in 6.5 and rearranging. Just too much.

I use PointUI now. it has a favorite program button right on the today screen. Good stuff...

Re: 6.5 start menu

I have to agree. I like Win6.5 and it runs perfect on my phone. But that start menu is hideous. Whoever came up with that is a moron.
