Touch Pro won't connect to the internet using WMWifiRouter

Good Morning All,
I am a fairly experienced TP user so I assume the issue isnt just one of me being a newb and missing something obvious.

But anyways, I just got a new Touch Pro (like my 7th one, buggy pieces of crap) and I haven't been able to tether as a Wifi router since I've gotten it.

I did some previous checking online, even though I've had it work flawless for me on all of my previous phones, and noticed that version 1.2 is the most reliable one for our phones, and still I can't get it to work. I'm using XP on an Asus 1000HA by the way, which has no wifi problems or anything because at my home or my mom's house wifis I just pop right in.

I checked the connection properties on the connection and I'm getting packets sent but not recieved.

On the phone, I've toyed with every setting from changing the connet to "phone as modem," and back to "Sprint," I've tried with wifi on, with it off, data connection on, data connection off, it doesn't matter. I just haven't been able to get it to work with this phone.

I'm wondering has anything changed or something, perhaps just by coincidence at the same time I lost my other phone which was working flawlessly. Also, it doesn't let me change the network name anymore. Minor inconvenience, but no matter what I put in, it tells me it doesn't fit all the requirements and forces me to tke the WMWifiRouter name.

Can someone read back to me their following WMWifi settings
Data Connection: ON or OFF
Cellular connection: SPRINT or PHONE AS MODEM
Wifi: ON or OFF

walkinghotspot worked perfect, first time. But i dont want to keep paying fr it forevver so wmwifirouter is better
