Poor data connection

I am getting very slow data speeds and I was wondering if there any tips and/or tweaks that I can try. All of these speeds were attained using the mobile speed test at dslreports.com. With the stock radio I was able to get 200kbs/sec, with sprint radio 1.11 I was able to get 412kbs/sec and with the telus 1.04 radio I got speeds of 324kbs/sec. Those are pretty poor speeds for a metropolitan area. I am in San Antonio, TX and I got much better speeds on my apache and mogul than I am now. I am using mighty rom 5 and have done no tweaks for the data connection. This was done using PIE.

Re: Poor data connection

personally i think IE gave me pretty good speeds but slower than Opera did. some have it opposite. I'm not sure about data tweaks but try Advanced Config. I've seen some things about data included on that and maybe it can help. I'm not sure of the details but I just want to provide you a POSSIBLE solution instead of NONE.

Good Luck

Re: Poor data connection

I would just find the best radio for your area... I know seems to simple, but I get different speeds depending on which city I am in - hence I do not use my phone to browse the internet, I use my iPod touch or laptop.

Re: Poor data connection

I get the about the same speeds with opera. I guess I will try a few of the other radios and see what happens.
