it depends on your signal strength and also if you're getting 1x or Ev or rA. It also depends on how many people on on that tower. Lots of variables. AT&T may have faster data service where you live. It's different everywhere.

Your speed is dependent on so many factors that it really isn't possible to say why your speed is 120...
It could be the tower being overloaded, the towers net link, the distance you are from the tower (signal strength)... Just to name a few. So, in short, AT&T could be faster than Sprint in your area or you could have tested them on a lucky day when their load is lighter.
