Weird Hardware Key Bug

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this bug and if so does a fix exist.

When I attach the headphones that came with the phone, then play a song, and press the power button to turn the screen off. The hardware keys stop responding.

The touch screen still reacts but the hardware keys no longer function and there is nothing I can do. Not even the fold out keyboard responds and I can recreate this bug everytime. Really annoying. Considering its common sense to turn off the screen after you select your music to save battery time. Does anyone else have this issue?

Stock rom or do you have a custom one? I haven't experienced this on my phone but it has been a LONG time since i've had the stock rom.

Yeah stock rom....was thinking of going to a custom rom but I have US Cellular and the worker entered a bunch of stuff on the phone before it started working. Is there an application that does a backup of your original rom if you ever wanna go back to it? I am a n00b to this.

Re: Weird Hardware Key Bug

i'm sure he set up your WAP settings for the internet to work on their service. There are a few programs but i don't think they save WAP settings. Maybe you can find a service carrier cab for US Cellular. Do a search and see if you can find one. The service carrier cab would input the WAP settings for you and then you could flash a new rom and still have internet.

It's the setting for key lock. By default, it is setup so that all keys minus the power key is disable, including the keyboard. Go to Settings\System\Key Lock then choose something other than "Lock all buttons except Power button".

Re: Weird Hardware Key Bug

Hmmm...thanks both of your for responding. I will search for a carrier rom, but first I will try the settings. It doesn't make sense because when the hardware keys lockup not even the power key works. Volume nothing....I'll give the settings a try though first.
