Phone locks up randomly and hard resets by itself
 

so I'm using MightyRom the one that was made a few days ago. And telus's
radio rom. (It did it with the sprint radio rom too and SsS's Rom)

So it will randomly lockup, So i pull the battery because pressing power doesn't seem to work. And pop it back it. Power it up and look, it's going though a hard reset :(

I lose all my messages and such. What could be causing this?

I seriously need help on this, my phone has done this 3 times so far.

There have been some issues with MR5 (release May 24). No one has had this particular issue. Did you hard reset after installing the ROMs? Do you install a large amount of apps onto the device? The more detailed information that could be provided the easier it is to decipher to what may be the issue. You may have a defective unit, how long ago was it purchased, how many times have you flashed in total (approximate)? Load a stock
Sprint ROM and see if the phone still does this.

Sounds similar to my problem a few months ago. It was a defective phone, I got it swapped and it has been fine since.

I have the same issue on my Sprint Touch Pro running on VZW.

I've used it for over a year (with various ROMs), but it has been doing this since being dropped a couple of weeks back.

Is it time to abandon this thing? I hate to, naturally, before a WP7S handset is released, as it probably means going to Android (and the learning curve of rooting, not to mention apps).

Alternately, is there another ROM (e.g. going back to a 6.1 ROM) or strategy (I've tried underclocking in no2chem's tools) that would help?

I'm having the same issues, I've gone through a lot of Roms lately trying to solve this problem. I'm tempted to go back to stock to see if that fixes it. If not I heard the Nexus one is coming to sprint so I just have to hold off until it is available.

******Update*************
It seems that I have fixed this by flashing back to a stock Rom afterwards I was able to flash any of the other ones with no issues.
