Ahh dangit, screwed up Opera

So, tried upgrading to a new Opera, now I have no Opera.

First tried upgrading to 16643 (cab), looked like it upgraded but Windows gave me an error message. Soft reset and tried installing again, no luck. Downloaded Dot Fred Task Manager, killed all opera process I could find. Tried installing again, no luck. Killed processes, tried installing 15954 (cab), no luck. Numerous soft resets, no luck. Now I cant find either of the Operas I tried installing so I could uninstall them (both said uninstallable) and there is nothing there. Oh, both installed to device.

As of right now I have no browser.

Any advice?

Backup data and do a hard reset

I'm thinking a hard reset is in order.

At first it would go through the process and say unsucessfull, but I would get the startup screen for the new version, then it started saying unsucessfull as soon as I clicked the cab. Either way when clicking "Launch Browser" from TF3d it would give me the "I'm sorry" WM screen.

It did always say that it could not remove the previous version of Opera, so maybe its just a stuck process somewhere.

It appears that I and another member have a similar problem (Link)
