Opera broken need help

I tried to install the 16594 version. It said it did not install successfully, but I ignore it and tried it anyway. it did not work. I found 15163 which worked in the past, and sent it over via activesync. the same message occured and the opera would not start up. Is my only recourse to do a hard reset?

This happens to me now and then... Keep trying to install the cab (in between soft resets)... eventually it will install..

If you really dont wanna hard reset you could try browsing through your Windows Directory for anything Opera related and your program files for whereever you installed it and delete anything pertaining to it.Then find a good quality cab thats known to work well on your device and try again.
But the BEST way is probably a hard reset.

Thanks for all of the advice. I will have to try them when I get home(no cell phones at work).

I tried the xx163 and xx165 .cabs with no success(the main Oera screen runs for a while and then stops)
Yearn, are you asking me to delete all of the Opera9 subdirectories under Windows and program files, or all Opera subdirectories.
I decide to try the PIE, just to see if it would work. Since it did, I would want to try more options without the hard reset, as long as more knowledgable people can give me things to try.

I would delete anything with Opera in it cause the cab should replace anything you delete.
Besides whats the worst that could happen?
You have to HardReset? Thats bout your only other choice anyway.

yearn, the hard reset may be my last option, but I am not there yet. I will try deleting everything with Opera9.
