Windows Mobile 6.1 / 6.5 / 7 ::UPDATE::

I tried just about every 6.5 builds and I gotta say i'm not too fond of it... I wanna see what the general public would say...

IF you do like 6.5 which Phone do you have?

UPDATE: Out of 325 people who voted...

147 is on Windows Mobile 6.5 and staying
178 in total are staying with or going back to 6.1

In other words:

54.77 % for Windows Mobile 6.1
45.23 % for Windows Mobile 6.5

On a side note... most Verizon users also stayed with 6.1 tho some did settle for 6.5

IMHO,

I can't get 6.5 to run nicely on my Verizon Gimped pro... when compared to 6.1

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 / 6.5 / 7

I tried MightRom5 6.5.

While i liked the the functionality (and i know it's still in its beta stages) i just wasn't fond of the interface and the programs menu.

I went back 6.1 with Mighty's 4R3Born.

Sorry...forgot to add that i have a Touch Pro on Sprint

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 / 6.5 / 7

I went to 6.5 haven't looked back. Innately the OS is more efficient than 6.1 IMO, keeping up a sleek look and being generally more responsive and managing the memory better.

On top of that, I use Juicy 7, plus SPB mobile shell 3 an I couldn't be more satisfied, the only qualm I have is switching from portrait to landscape takes a second or two, but I definitely won't be going back anytime soon, the start menu is better, titanium (even though I don't use it), is infinitely better than the original 6.1 interface, and TF3d is just kind of eh to me, I like the feel of 6.5 and SPB together, I really feel like ms needs to partner up with them.

W^ Jucy
I've not been happy with 6.5 at all. I have only used it for about 2 hours total though. If I had a second phone, I might give it some more burn, but the Verizon Gimped and 6.5 just doesn't seem to tickle my fancy.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 / 6.5 / 7

Lovin' my 21500 build 6.5 on my Sprint Touch Pro. Getting ready to upgrade to 21502 and I'm sure it will be faster!!! With 6.5 I run no manila, don't get me wrong I love Manila it just takes up too much space and slows my phone down.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 / 6.5 / 7

anybody who uses windows 6.5 and goes back to 6.1 is foolish. The only logical explanation would be that you want the most stable rom, that would be the only reason. other then that 6.5 is better by leaps and bounds over 6.1. Also not to mention windows themselves won't be making another 6.1 device so why would someone want to live in the past, this is like comparing 6.1 to 6.0 or even windowms mobile 5. Why would someone be working backwards. Sounds like when old people don't want to get dvr's because they are so use to their vcr's, even though a dvr is 10 times easier to operate and program then a vcr.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.1 / 6.5 / 7

I'm on Scrosler's 6.5 rom and its by far the best and most stable I have used. I switch off between TF3D and Titanium, but overall speed is night and day for me. Def will not be going back to 6.1
