Re: Yahoo GO and New Yahoo portal..

why would you need Yahoo go? just set up email through your phone. it automatically detects the settings when you add a new email account and it's FREE!

Yahoo doesn't do pop for free last time I checked - you have to pay extra. So Yahoo Go is an alternative to paying. I can't get it to work either. When you go through IE it allows you to download Yahoo Go for Blackberry 8700.

I check my yahoo email every day and I've never been charged. It's an imap account. using the email setup the incoming server is imap.mail.yahoo.com
The outgoing sever is smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Hope this helps.

Re: Yahoo GO and New Yahoo portal..

OK, I'll try that. Is Yahoo an affiliate with your DSL provider? If so, that could explain why you get POP/IMAP for free...

Re: Yahoo GO and New Yahoo portal..

Wow, it worked. I'm glad I didn't decide to pay for it. I just used the auto settings BTW.
