Broken keyboard solution for people who have a Sprint TP on Verizon?

I searched the other threads, but it looks like the solution is only for people who can go to Sprint and use their insurance...

In light of Verizon recently closing the loophole to put the Pro on their network, what are my options for fixing it? I love my phone, but I also like Verizon's service, can I pop it open and re-attach the ribbon? I don't really know how to go about it though. I can't really see any easy way to open it.

There's many threads on this. Here's one I made with pics. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=62876

I wish they'd sticky it so more people would refer to it.

Re: Broken keyboard solution for people who have a Sprint TP on Verizon?

Yeah, I found that thread after I posted this, but unfortunately, it seems to be completely dead, removed it from casing three times, made sure the ribbons were securely in place, no luck. Dead keyboard.

I'm guessing Sprint won't help me at all, right? Lol.

Well, if anyone with Sprint service and a Touch Pro wants to buy a dead keyboard one off of me, I'll restore it to Sprint stock and we could work out a deal?

Oh, also, will HTC work with my phone, had it since around December, hasn't been a year yet.

EDIT: Well, wouldn't matter, I voided my warranty opening it. Lmao.

if you're not careful putting it back together the middle ribbon cable will pop off every time. Sometimes just putting the battery in pops it out.

Funny I've seen a lot of people claim that thread was theirs...if it really was you then good work and I've shared the info with others as well and has helped many, but if you just found it like MANY others did then you shouldn't take all the cred ya know. I do not know and I'm not accusing, just trying to find out the true originator of this. Thanks and sorry if I come off wriong, I mean no harm and if you are the one who deserves cred for this than I will be the 1st to give it to ya! Thanks for sharing the info
