How do I use HTC Touch Pro?

Hi everyone,

I was referred here by crackberry while the rest said to do a Google search.

I am new to the HTC Touch Pro. I didn't know it was a Pocket PC? How do I use it? How do I navagate to learn the foundations? I want to use the web? The URL disappears. Better off, let's start learning how to take out and put back in the big battery? That's it for now. I am sure I can come up with more questions. Thank you!

Re: How do I use HTC Touch Pro?

First of all, welcome to PPCGeeks. Is this your 1st windows mobile phone? Touch Pro? yes it is a pocket pc not smartphone. on the web (opera mobile) the little square on the bottom right is what yu need to press for the address bar to appear/reappear. and to access settings.
the big battery? if you mean the extended one it goes in and out like the stock one (to my knowledge)

look in the sticky sections of this forum and start by reading there first then if any questions arent answered then search search and seach around here almost EVERYTHING is already asked and answered, good luck

that green 'thanks' button will be your best friend (= use it wisely if youre helped

Re: How do I use HTC Touch Pro?

Yes, it's my first Pocket PC. I looked in the first sticky. I want to learn how to use this phone. I honestly don't think it's for me? It's to hard. I am better off with the curve. It's easier.

The phone may be intimidating at first, but once you get comfortable and familiar with the ins and outs and all the possibilities, I think you'll like it a lot and find it very easy to use. My recommendation is to start pushing buttons, opening menus, and playing with the settings and options. The best way to get familiar with the phone and learn how and what everything does is to start exploring on your own.

You're lucky you found this site right off the bat. It was a couple of months before I discovered PPCGeeks and xda-developers, both of which are crucial websites to be familiar with as a ppc owner.

Have fun exploring your new phone and welcome to the club, hope you decide to stay a while.

Re: How do I use HTC Touch Pro?

First question. How do I remove and put back the battery? When I activated this phone, I had to get the ESN (Dec) manual because I don't know how to do a battery pull.

Turn the phone over so you are looking at the back and it is facing upright. Next, slide the back cover up and you will reveal the battery. (The back plate is only a cover, it slides right off in the direction towards the top of the phone.)

Re: How do I use HTC Touch Pro?

I looked at the back. I don't see anything that slides. It was a big battery they put in.
